I want to thank Doug Sorenson for his help in finding a place for my mom. He was great. He drove over to LaQuinta to look at a place for my mother. He explained that he had sent another person to this facility and had heard good things about it. He also explained that he had never seen it and wanted to check it out. Kendall and his company were amazing, genuine, easy to work with, and I hope you read further to see why you should work with him too! Nobody ever thinks about "assisted living" until this situation hits your family like a tornado and you are trying to navigate the complexities of finding the right home for your senior parents.. Fortunately, we were connected with Kendall (Assisted living locators) who patiently and compassionately guided us on a search to find the right place for our mom who needed a new home with full time skilled care, which we were not personally equipped to do on our own. So Kendall stepped in, walked us through the process, listened to our needs, and provided different options. This is difficult because senior care is expensive and we (and all families) need to balance the best care they can find at a price that is manageable. So Kendall is super knowledgeable about all types of senior care across the industry and is also familiar with different specific homes & facilities in the Coachella Valley. He showed us places and introduced us to the caregivers/managers. We finally settled on a Board & Care facility which we are really happy with. Kendall has extensive corporate management experience and effectively acted as our representative and helped us go over the details and even negotiate the final price that worked for everyone. Its already been a little over a month and Kendall still checks on our mom, gets periodic updates from the facility, and stays in close touch with us to make sure we are doing well and happy with everything. If anything pops up, Kendall jumps in to help us out. Kendall is not the type of guy that just arranges the contract and then disappears. Kendall works so hard for us and has really become a part of our family now and he is always there if we need anything. Kendall was an exceptional care coordinator during one of the hardest times in my life. He handled every detail of my mom’s transition. He assisted patiently with locating the perfect board and care. He helped coordinate  her hospital discharge with thoroughness, compassion, and genuine dedication. He coordinated medical transport, gathered hospital paperwork, arranged necessary medical equipment, and personally ensured mom arrived home comfortably. Kendall consistently checked in, advocated for her needs, supported hospice coordination, and even offered heartfelt condolences when she passed. Our 77-year-old mother was hospitalized in Los Angeles and in need of long-term housing in Palm Springs upon discharge. We came to Assisted Living Locators and what started as a precarious ordeal has evolved into a truly supportive team effort in ensuring her safety and comfort. The home Kendall found ended up being an excellent fit. Doug was fantastic.  I had to get my cousin into a memory care facility.  I live in Pennsylvania and Doug went above and beyond to make this happen. He even set up Zoom visits of facilities for me. Then when I got to California for the move, he coordinated everything.  He even brought my cousin his favorite smoothie to "smooth" the transition. We are so grateful for Kendall and everything he did to help our family. Finding the right board and care for my mom was such an emotional and stressful process, but Kendall made us feel supported every step of the way. He is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding. What really stood out was his dedication and compassion. When the first placement did not work out, he immediately stepped in and helped us find another place that was a much better fit. He truly cared about making sure my mom was comfortable and well cared for, and he never made us feel alone in the process.
